IESCO New Connection Process

Follow the steps below to apply for a new IESCO connection,

  • Visit the ENC Portal: Visit the official website (ENC).
  • Apply New Connection: Find Apply New Connection option on left side of your screen.
  • Select Your Company: Select your company IESCO from dropdown options.
  • Select your sub division: Select your sub division from the options. e.g. Margalla.
  • Select category: Select load category. e.g. 15W.
  • Neighbor reference number: Enter a reference number of IESCO meter already installed in your neighborhood.
  • Connection type: Please select the connection type you are applying for i.e. Domestic, Commercial, Industrial
  • Number of meters: Enlist the number of meter already installed under your name.
  • Personal details: Enter your personal details, name, father name, address etc.
  • Submit application: After providing all details uploading the required documents click submit button.

Documents Required For New Connection Application

Below is a list of all the documents required for an IESCO new connection application.

  • Online Application Form: Enter complete details in online application form and submit.
  • CNIC Copies: Attested CNIC copies of applicants an witnesses.
  • Property Documents: Attested copies of all property documents on which the new connection is to be installed.
  • Neighbors Bill Copy: A copy of neighbors electricity bill.
  • Test Report: A test report from wiring contractor is required.

Process After Online Application Submission

Once your online application for IESCO new connection is submitted, follow the steps below,

  • Print all these documents i.e. online application form, uploaded documents and make a file of these.
  • Submit this file at your nearest IESCO Sub division office.
  • IESCO staff will verify your application and the documents provided.
  • After verification site survey will be conducted by IESCO staff.
  • Once survey approval is arranged, a demand notice will be issued in your name.
  • Print that demand notice and attached other required documents and submit these with demand notice fee in the bank.

IESCO New Connection Demand Notice Fee

The fee details for the IESCO new concession demand notice are listed below. Please note that this fee amount changes from time to time, so the exact fee is the one that IESCO issues to you in a demand notice after conducting a site survey. IESCO allows various methods for paying this fee, such as through a bank, e-wallets, and cash payments.

The IESCO has a structure for Tariffs A1 and A2 that determine the prices for new connections based on the length and type of WAPDA meter.

Single Phase Meter:

The fee charges for a single-phase meter connection are listed below, which account for the different lengths.

  • Costs Rs. 8,500 for up to 20 meters.
  • Rs. 10,500 for 20 meters to 30 meters.
  • Rs. 11,500 for 30 to 40 meters.
  • Costs are Rs. 11,000 plus Rs. 800 per meter over 40 meters for runs up to 100 meters long with one span of LT wire, one pole, and no house developments.
  • Above 100 meters and up to 160 meters (with two LT spans, two poles, and an Ant conductor, but not in house developments): Rs. 60,000 plus Rs. 1,000 per meter above 100 meters.

Three Phase Meter:

The fee charges for a three-phase meter connection are listed below, which account for the different lengths.

  • Prices start at Rs. 36,500 for lines up to 20 meters long.
  • Rs. 43,000 for lines of service up to 30 meters long.
  • Rs. 50,000 for lines of service up to 40 meters long.

Any service lines that are longer than 40 meters would incur additional expenses according to the Chief Engineer of IESCO’s specifications for LT poles and related materials.

Estimated Time For IESCO New Connation Installation

The estimated time for new connection installation depends on the category or may be longer. IESCO has created different load categories for the installation of new connections.

Category 1 (Up to 15 kW):

Category 1 is ideal for domestic or small commercial use, including homes, small shops, offices, etc. Below is a timeline Category 1 has for the entire process.

Category-2 (16kw to 70 kW/400 Volts):

The process for securing a Category-2 IESCO connection is nearly same to that for Category-1. However, due to additional verification and processing requirements, the installation could take up to 68 days to finish.

Category-3 (71kW to 500kW/400 Volts):

The steps for obtaining a Category-3 IESCO new connection are the same as those for Category-1 and Category-2. However, because to the increased load capacity and additional permissions, the installation process could take up to 100 days from the moment the application is submitted.
