Understanding IESCO Online Bill

The IESCO online bill has various parameters and sections, some of which we have discussed here for your understanding.

Connection Date:

This is the date when you initially registered yourself in the IESCO database for electricity connection. Or in simple words, the date on which you got your IESCO connection installed.

Reference Number:

This is the most important part of your connection.. This reference number is the unique identification of your bill which is just like your account number. You can pay your bill on behalf of this reference number and get a copy of your bill by providing this reference number etc.

Dates:

You can check the dates on the top right corner of your bill such as reading date, bill issue date, due date. Apart from this, you can also check these dates again in the last section of the bill. This also mentions the penalty for paying the bill after the due date. These dates show when your meter reading was done, when the bill was issued by LESCO and the last date for payment.

FPA:

Many people are not aware of the PFA present on the electricity bill and they want to know what this is? FPA stands for Fuel Price Adjustment. It is a system of adjusting electricity charges based on fluctuations in fuel prices. The price of FPA is related to the fuel prices of rental power companies that generate electricity from crude oil, etc.

TR Surcharge:

The T.R. stands for Tariff Rationalisation Surcharge. In the new rules, NEPRA will set the price, and the government will let all distribution companies know about a single tariff. This is what makes NEPRA and GOP tax different. The GOP will pay the gap as a “subsidy” if it is small enough. The delivery company will pay GOP as a “Inter-Disco Tariff Rationalization Surcharge (IDTR SUR)” if there is a negative difference for any reason.

QTR Tariff Adj/DMC:

Any changes to your rates that happen every three months will show up on your bill. People in the United States have to pay this tax if they buy more than 300 units. Commercial and industrial customers have to pay this tax even if they only use one unit.

FC Surcharge:

Financing Cost is what FC stands for. At first, the Financing Cost Surcharge was set at 43 paise per unit to make sure that Power Holding Private Limited’s loan would be paid back.

Bill Timing:

In some places, you might get your bill at different times each month. There is, however, a bill date that tells you when the bill is due, read, and issued. This will give you an idea of when the bill is due.
